Meet Cametra Edwards, Ph.D.

I've spent my career inside schools — building them, leading them, and developing the people who run them. I founded a charter school in Tampa and led it for over two decades. I've coached CEOs and senior leaders at charter networks across the country. And everything I've learned in that journey points to the same truth: the schools that work are the ones where every adult is developed, not just the person at the top.

That's why I created Kai Collaborative. I was tired of watching brilliant leaders burn out trying to carry everything alone, and talented teachers languish without real development. Liberation from over-functioning isn't just a tagline — it's the mission. I help leaders build the teams and systems that allow great work to happen without anyone having to be superhuman.

My approach blends the productivity and systems thinking of Michael Hyatt with the relational, equity-centered coaching of Elena Aguilar. I hold a Ph.D. in School Psychology, and I'm also the Co-Founder of Accelerate Education with my business partner Jen Hines.

When I'm not in the work, I'm a proud mom to two amazing young adults, a dedicated gardener with over 40 house plants, and an avid traveler.
